I bought a 2019 husq FE350 new , only have 800
Miles and noticed Top head gasket leak .
Took back to dealer , luckily had an extended warranty and they are going to replace gasket .
But this bike has never seen dirt only ridden 1 hr a week around the neighbor hood . Unbelievable I’m so upset is this normal ?
Was it where the black cover meets the silver, with two half circles? I wouldn't call it normal, but not unheard of either. Certainly no big deal for the shop to fix.

My 701 also weeps a bit from the valve cover gasket. I had a "is it serious" conversation with a tech about it. He suggested I clean the area to get a sense of the weep rate, but was otherwise unconcerned. Very different motor design philosophy vs. the CRF250L, I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

At 8 years old, my '12 350 EXC-f is just now starting to show dampness under those 2 half circles. It is still nowhere near what I would consider as "requiring attention" though.

My experience, anything European with a motor, I buy knowing it’s going to be quirky in a few ways. They are not gas and go weekend after weekend, year after year like the Japanese brands.
That being said, my last KTM 4-stroke used the weep a little oil around the valve covers and I simply tightened the valve cover bolts about 1/8th turn each and the leak stopped.
