How often do you change all your fuses? Do you do it by miles or time?

Why would you change the fuses if they are not blown?

I only swap 'em if they're blown. I'm with Ed. I don't understand why you'd change 'em based on mileage or time...

I change mine according to the lunar calendar, that way they line up with the blinker fluid flushes. Saves having to crack the battery casing twice, and you know how much the gasket for those costs

I never realized there was a draw, makes sense though. More resistance = less current.

I have heard about the gold ones, but didn't want people to think I was into bling, so I never tried them. Do they give you more HP?

they'll take a full second off your quarter mile times.

Really now! I know if you get better plugwires you get more HP, so I am thinking it would be the same for fuses.

I have HRC fuses, bought them on ebay.

They actually say "Lucas" on them, but they cost $27.95 each so they must be good. Something to do with the internal wire being wound tighter so the electrons actually flow faster (exceeding the speed of light). When the bike ignition is switched on, the fuses actually dissappear for a split second then you can see them again, although you are looking at them a split second in time before the present.

Kevin is installing them for me next week, he has the HRC kit fuse replacement tool. He's only gonna charge me .5 hour labor, he's a great guy.

A good rule of thumb is about 1/4 horsepower per karat. Maybe .4 if they're platinum.

The iridium fuses are nice, and almost never need replacing. Bit pricey though. Oh and they're toxic, don't lick them.

you gotta be a little careful about the fuses you use, tho... i mean, gold is a pretty dense metal, so you're increasing the sprung weight.

Hey Kevin, did you get your strobe light back?

I want those fuses to be precisely timed in so I don't actually LOSE power.

No. It's a better conductor. Most of my AV stuff is being switched over.

Frequency grease? Where the hell you been man, stuck in 1997? Spray 'em down with a can of squelch. That's how it's done in the 21st century.
