Fixed that for ya. Rotax is only making that beast for the 1125R. HD is still making the... "engines"... that are in the rest of the Buell line-up.

And this Aprilia engine is built buy Aprilia

Don't worry, you'll be fine for another year & 1/2 or so.

    Thanks for clearin that up.

under 1000cc? with that much power.

well they obviously didn't go to Ducatis school of massive bore engine building, whats ducati going to make a 2000cc bike now to be "competitive" now?

Psst, Ducati's Desmosedici is putting down similar numbers at 999cc. Ducati upped the displacement on the V-Twin 'cause it's harder to make similar power out of a twin and stay reliable. The larger twin now runs the same modification restrictions as the 4s, making for cheaper racing. That said, you can get those numbers from a 999 V-Twin Duc.

    really?
I thought that the new 1098 *only* made about 140 hp?
I see the the Desmosedici does do it, for about 75K, it will be intresting to see what the price of the new Aprilia is going to be.

    I stand corrected though.
I dont know why, but for some reason I do not like Ducati.

Elwood has a valid point, it could be big money like the Desmosedici

Low 140s at the rear wheel for a base 1098, slipons and an ecu get you mid to high 140s. A full system, free flowing filter and ecu can get you into the low 160s at the rear wheel.
