Psst, Ducati's Desmosedici is putting down similar numbers at 999cc. Ducati upped the displacement on the V-Twin 'cause it's harder to make similar power out of a twin and stay reliable. The larger twin now runs the same modification restrictions as the 4s, making for cheaper racing. That said, you can get those numbers from a 999 V-Twin Duc.

I see the the Desmosedici does do it, for about 75K, it will be intresting to see what the price of the new Aprilia is going to be.
