KLR250 flasher unit

I switched my directionals to LEDs on my 1986 KLR250. Now I have to install the flasher unit to make them flash at appropriate intervals. Anyone know what wires I need to tap into to make it work? The flasher unit has a red and black wire. Thanks!

It goes in place of the original flasher unit.
