I know it happened north of Boston, south of NH. Maybe in the Chelmsford area? I think he was solo and it was late at night. Something about getting it head-on from a truck.
I guess this guy was a friend of some extended family. Left two kids. Really, really sad.
I got a page, MVA in Chelmsford, MA. Motorcycle vs car with fatalitie. Thats all I know.

there was a hit & run fatality recently right up the street from my appartment in Boston. Think it was a guy on a moped, hit by an 18 wheeler. Died instantly & was dragged for about a 1/4 mile before the driver stopped the truck.... removed the "hitch hiker" and continued on his way.

IT was Sunday Night about 10:30. Paper says motorcyclist missed or blew a stop sign and went into the side of a Pick-UP truck. RIder was from Tewksbury, I found the article in The Lowell Sun Online.
damn! i live in Chelmsford and i didn't even know.![]()
"fuckit!"
yea mva with the moped at the I90 on ramp on mass ave. guy was on his vespa next to an 18 wheeler in the right lane. driver dragged him down the on ramp where he was let off and continued with the vespa until it caught fire 1/4 mile down the road..... rumor has it that a second 18 wheeler might have been involved with the draggin of the vespa tho.Originally posted by OreoGaborio

literally right down the street from my house like a week ago or less a 36 year old man got hit by a box truck that drove over a toyota corrola first. It wedged him between the car and the truck and he was cut in half. His daughter was at the bottom of my street crying her eyes out a few days after it happened. I felt horrible for her.. People always say that it's the motorcyclists fault.. he was sitting at a red light..
the guy on the scooter in boston as a Dr. on his way home from work....very highly repected man, with a lot of brains. What I can't believe is that the truck driver stopped, dragged the body from under his truck, got back in and drove away!! What the hell kind of person does this?? I hope it haunts him for life. But have a fealing he was either too wasted to know or to depraved to care. Unbelieveable!!!

let me clear this up, although i might not supposed to be doing this, they suspect that 2 trucks were involved, they think the first one hit him, didnt notice and dragged him onto the highway and the guy came off. a second truck drove down the road and couldnt stop, hit the vespa and dragged it down the road at which point he stopped to pull the wreckage out, not seeing a body he kept going.... that's what is suspected
Thanks. That helps me sleep a little better at night. I wish somebody would have told the news agencies this, though because they clearly never reported a 2nd truck and stated that the 1st trucker stopped and pulled the body from under his truck before fleeing the scene. I guess they are working on the details though still and maybe niether trucker knew what actually happened at the time:

again this is all speculation, it could have very well been that the first truck pulled the guy out and drove away. all i know is that there is undoubtadely an ongoing investigation.
my guess is that there will *more* of an investigation because of that person's stature as a doctor. true in all aspects of life, but with motorcycles (or mopeds, or bicyclists) there is a tendency to treat these incidents with the attitude of "had it coming to them"Originally posted by neuthunder
