Anyone have any info about the Hawk Racing school. I was going to do penguin but a friend told me to check out hawk it may be better. Im looking for a website or any other info
Penguin is the one you must take to race at Loudon. I don't know anything about Hawk, but aren't they a track day group, not a school?
What are your goals for taking a school?
Well I bought a track bike this winter (frankenbike) and want to give her a shot. I figured since I have never raced a school would be a good start rather than just jumping into a track day.
My goal of all of this is to become a better rider both on the track and on the street. I figure they will teach me things that I might not have known and have some quality time on the track
You will learn more at a trackday if you have never been on the track before.
derek
you will get more track time at a track day than at a racing shool such as Penguin.
And good track days- such as Tony's allow one on one instruction which is invaluable.
Who's Tony and when is his trackday, and how much? Do I need a race license or anything special?
check the track day forum here on the site.
no license needed-
or go to tonystrackdays.com
Track-based schools for street riders would include Cal. Superbike School or CLASS, which has classes scheduled around the states. But they're expensive and don't come around here much.
Tonystrackdays gives you an introduction to track riding with little intimidation as is possible for your first time and we offer limited instruction.
The June 21 date has slots available.
