Can't find that bike exactly, looks like it's a little custom. Closest thing I can find are a 1930 B4 250CC Single, 1932 Blue Star 500CC single, and a 1937 B26. See HERE. But these bikes don't have a high exhaust, which makes me think it's customized.
I think it's definitely one of those late 30's 'star' models, blue star, empire star, etc. BSA had a huge model range in the 1930s, tons of singles and they even made big V-Twins that looked like Harleys.

Even though these are all prewar machines I think BSA made several of them years after the war ended. I believe they went to modern telescopic forks in the early 50s.
