I wanna thank Alex, Chris, Gino, Lauren, and Doc. Made my way up to NHIS to pick the Hawk up today. Although its having trouble runnin I'm sure It'll be a blast once I get a chance to fiddle with the carbs. The battery died so i'm going to sit it on the charger for the night. I'll update tomorrow when I get a chance to work on it.
As I have said. Do not hesitate to call me.
Sorry I wasn't there to make the delivery.

Hi neighbor.
I was cursing around the Pits on Saturday night and it seemed to be running all right. I wanted to feel what a stock hawk felt like.I can't wait to get mine on the road some day. Maybe something floated into the carbs to keep it from running. Some TLC is needed from the little that I noticed. Talk to you later.

If it won't turn over it is not the carbs. Sounds electrical. I'm assuming it is a Super Hawk, in which case I would check the R/R (voltage regulator). They go bad quite frequently. I've replaced mine with one from an R-1 because they are larger and have cooling fins.
Throw a charge on the Bat. It seemed a little week when I tried turning it over Sun night.
I'm free Thursday Night for carb work.
In the mean time take the tank off and drain out the gas. have some fresh gas ready Thursday night.

It has a brand new battery in it. Charge the battery and do what Gino says. Welcome to Hawk Nation.

yep ok I'm retarded, its turning over and over and over and over without even a hiccup anymore. Thursday night works for me.... I'll pull the tank tomorrow and drain gas. What do these hawks like to run on? 87,89,93? or is this going to start the great octane debate?
We run 93 in the race bikes. It will run fine on 87.
