Ok , so this is what happened , yesterday , I was at my friend's cook out and we were chilling and stuff. Then I was tired so I fell asleep on one of the beds and some dude came in and stole my keys . .. . . He went out and took the bike for a little joy ride but didn't make it outta the parking lot . . . thing went down and the amazing thing was that no damage was done except the shift lever bent and clutch lever bent.
Leason learned , don't bring bikes to your friends house , or don't fall asleep.
More deep shit is that my dad doesn't know , he asked me to go riding today too , "I said no , I don't feel good". ahhaha.
Good thing , a shift lever and clutch lever is nothing , the bike will run fine after I'm done.
Bad thing , my dad's gonna kill me![]()

hahaahha , my friends are awesome tho , they tried so hard to fix it , lol. They even taped up the shift lever to a bent screw driver so I could ride it back home.
dude, you've got a seriously fucked up concept of "awesome."

Well , they could have been a ass about it and just left the bike as it was , but they stayed up till like 11:00 pm getting mosquito bites trying to fix it , which was cool.Originally posted by twrayinma

i can guarentee you if any of my friends took any of my vehicles for a ride without my permission they'd be recieving a punch in the face
don't worry about that , my friend is paying for everything. I just gotta find a way to get the parts fast. Cause my dad's planing a ride this weekend and I gotta get my bike fixed by then . . . .Originally posted by zx-stewie

You guys don't know anyone with a SV shift lever laying around anywhere do ya ? I'm just gonna pick up the carbon fiber clutch/brake levers from the dealership , those are pretty easy to get.

Hope your friends understand that they could have gotten hurt really badly as opposed to just having to buy some levers.

dude, i'm talking about my power wheels, i've got 3- the jeep, the barbie convertable, and the new hummer. i'd break some faces if people took the hummer![]()
by vehicles i mean, if they stole my grand am (me and my sisters), but i use my moms sebring, and every onceinawhile my dads exploder sport. and eventually i'll get a bike...
Let me guess, I bet he was trying to drag the pegs.
jeez , looks like 2 weeks , I gotta wait for the parts to come. Anyone know any motorcycle junk yards or anyone parting out a SV ?

Nope , Actually , My friend was just trying to go down the street , he didn't even make it outta the frigin parking lot , ahhahaha.
If you want the parts wicked quick you'll have to suck it up and go to a dealer. Have them 2 day'ed (or overnighted) to the dealer. You'll pay, but you'll get 'em quick.

I think dealerships are pretty slow too , but I'm not sure. Last time I took my old bike in they got the parts 2 weeks after they ordered it.
you should be able to fid an aftermarket clutch lever somewhere locally, they are pretty universal...
as far as the shifter, I beleive GSXR shifters are identical. seems like you should be able to find someone who has spares...
I only have one spare.. and it is staying in my saddlebags in the event I need it

I know the clutch lever is nothing , I'm just going to replace them with those carbon fiber ones , but the shift lever is like impossible to find , unless I order from the dealership or that thing online which takes like 2 weeks.
