i should have known better. I didn't gear up because I was just going a couple of blocks for dinner, when BAM! Down I go. Nursing a seriously skinned knee, and took the side off my pinky toe.

I know, I know. Things can happen anytime, anywhere, even on the shortest trip. This is last time I go out for a quick trip without gear. I should have known better than to walk to dinner in a dress and heels. ATGATT.

Heels aren't really a good shoe to start with. Might look sexy and be fast, but a lot can be said for starting in flats and working your way up to heels... some people say "respect the stilleto and you'll be fine," but you need to assess your own situation....

Have you taken the Heels Safety Foundation (HSF) Beginner Walking Course (BWC) yet? It would provide a good foundation... if you have some experience, consider the Experienced Walker Course for a refresher...
