Police Crack Down On Laconia Motorcycle Noise

LACONIA, N.H. -- Police and Highway Patrol officers are cracking down on noisy motorcycles in Laconia this summer.

Officers manning a noise checkpoint Saturday handed out 41 summons and 27 warnings to motorcycle riders in a four-hour period. They said most of the tickets were given to riders with noisy mufflers and expired inspections.

Police said they will be setting up checkpoints around the city all summer.
