It's not a TLS in a different frame.Originally posted by SEVENSGT
If'n you do you gotta let me know what you think, I was thinkin it might just be a TLS in a different frame.........Gotta know so I can decide if I'm ever gonna trade in the SUPACHICK![]()
Smaller intake valves, compression the same, equals more torque downstairs. (note: one of the performance mods on a TLR, is to actually build up the intake runners so they are SMALLER).
Uses the same electronics as the gixxer 1k, 32 bit processor means better control over fuel and ignition. Has the same throttle body as the TLR at 52 mm, but has the secondary throttle plate like the gixxer 1k. Wheel base is a little longer, which will calm the thing down a little bit. No rotary rear damper, a real shock....
I can see an easy 10 HP increase, just by uncorking the intake and exhaust, a remap, a little compression increase, and this thing is gonna be one stump puller!
Too old to rock and roll, too young to die.
Man Mark it's a good thing you're here for me, I think by the end of next season I will see a SV1000S in my shed![]()

what else can you do that is practical to increase a compression without some sort of turbo?Originally posted by TLRMan

Ya really wanna know?
Get the squish band clearance to @ .9mm, increases compression ratio, and because the squish band is tighter, will inhibit detonation to a point....Did I loose you?

I have to admit, that mini Haga IS a hoot! Scrared the crap outta me!

and doens't sound practical or cheap either. I know detonation is bad and one way to control it is with higher fuel grade right?
