I'd be hard pressed to call 3 wheels out of how many 10R's sold "major"...
"The firm says only three front wheels have been reported as defective, globally, but, "for the reassurance of customers we have decided to replace all front wheels, regardless of their condition, free of charge.""

would yamaha do that?

It is great customer service...
Honda does that for some very minor things.
Note that it says globally, and the article is in Europe..
It could very well be that Kham's bike is bike is not effected and his front wheel is fine.
My guess is Kawasaki will send you a letter shortly if your bike is affected, and that the dealer isn't going to do squat until you get that letter.

When a manufacturer states do not use the product, we are recalling all of them now, please use a flat bed to bring in the bike, It's major.Originally posted by Mystery Squid

The action and wording leads one to believe there was a fatality; I hope not.
I don't care who the manuf. is, I'm not brand loyal.

I'm sure Kawasaki corp didn't just decide to make the recall, like all other recalls by manufacturers, they're forced to make the recall by outside partiesOriginally posted by Kham
that's customer service.would yamaha do that?

Maybe that was the reason for the last minute $500 price hike on the bike

Yamaha
There was 3 incidents worldwide from what I have read at this point. And something like failing dront wheels is why they would issue a overboard warning.
