Oreo, Clayton....um......anyone else roughly their size?
What size leather suit do you wear? I'm eyeing the Joe Rocket on that site Doc posted up (kneedraggers), and for the price I may be able to swing the men's and have it taken in at the waist. But I have no idea what I would be for men's sizing. Are you guys size 40ish?

If you run into a wall with a helmet on, you still ran into a wall.
I'm 5'6" with a 30 waist. 39 chest, and looking for leathers. Red and black preferable... If you can swing a deal, let me know.

5'8", 160lbs, 30-31ish inch waist, 40-41" chest. Using all conventional sizing charts provided by A*, all the "off the rack" stuff fit me like glove. Get your measurements, match them up against some sizing charts, and see where that gets you.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
yeah Clayton's a little smaller than I am & I'm about a 50eu/40us.
but you've got a few more... uh.... curves.
you're welcome to try on one of my sets of leathers if you want.

Obviously, but I know I wear a men's 30-31" waist (mostly for the, uhm, curvesin my hippal area) and having just had my wedding dress altered, I have just gotten my measurements done, and they wouldn't line up with men's stuff anyway. So, whatever I can get to fit the hips I can have altered to fit my waist. I'm mostly looking for a good deal since all the women's leathers of any kind of quality that I have found start in the $1200 range.
So, JeffL, what size leather do you have since it seems you are going to be the most similar in size to me. A 42? I can chck the size charts, but I like real life answers too, since those charts aren't always accurate.

There's a handful of companies now that offer woman specific gear, one being Joe Rocket I believe...
Is womanbiker.com still around? A few years ago we outfitted Cheryl from head to toe there. They used to have a showroom in Conk, on Main St., above Foodee's. Great stuff!
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
You also have to remember the Chestal area..![]()
If your gonna be at the track the first race weekend you should try on the suit I got that doesn't fit... I think it may be a little big but worth a shot. I think it is a 42 us (It's a 50 Euro)

But only you can feel the true warmth.
You have obviously never met me. I am not too concerned about the chestal area. I am all hippal.
Anyway, I posted up in your corner leathers thread about trying them on. Also, pete, I may try yours if the 42 is too big (preferably the less-smelly of the two, i.e. not your IXS's right after a race....yuk).
Stonner, I wasn't aware that the place in conc had actual leathers - they only ever show(ed?) fringed black jackets in the windows. I will go check them out......maybe in a few minutes.

Keira, my A* TZ-1 jacket is a US 40/Euro 50, and the A* track pants are 32" waist. Jacket is a little looser cut in the midsection, which works out when I have the back protector on, leaves me room to layer up in the colder weather these days though.Just try some stuff on somewhere, I'm sure with all the Moto places up in that area, you'll be able to find something.
I know a little about everything, and alot about nothing.
I'll throw my measurements into the ring.
I'm 5'6"... my weight ranges between 140-150, and a US 40 Euro 50 fits great.

Well, I went to all the bike shops in Concord (yup all two of them) today and looked for leathers. Honda had one, that was a size 44, so just for gits and shiggles I tried it on. As I figured, it was huge, so I know I am at least a 42, probably a 40, but all the other proportions were way too far off to be useful. The shoulders came down halfway to my elbows and the pant length went, well....the damn things covered my heels. So, I sucked it up and started looking at girl leathers. The guy was very nice and just let me peruse at my leisure since he didn't actually know the difference between male/female leathers, just that they were shaped differently (but he didn't know how). So, here's what I am looking at:
Alpinestars Stella Julie Suit White
It's way more $$ than I want to spend, but with the tax return coming in it is actually doable (I just won't have much extra cash flow until summer, when I get paid for not working and have more time to work the other job)....
I'm having mixed feelings. It is a lot of $$ but I have maintained weight for over 2 years now, and I have been looking for a good set of leathers for almost that long. I should just do it....

Thats a nice suit...i agree with the guy's in the store you should just get a suit for girl's. It will definately fit you better. Just tuck your pennyies away and get the best leathers for you and i think that A* is worth the dough.
