A motorbike rider bizarrely faked injury in an attempt to stop a race he was in after he crashed and could not get his bike restarted.
Marlinton dos Reis Teixeira, known by his nickname 'Kalunga', slid on a corner in rainy conditions during the Rio Grande do Sul State Moto Grand Prix in Brazil, causing his bike to stall.
Kalunga failed to get his bike to start and was losing valuable time. He then walked to the middle of the track and threw himself on the ground pretending to be badly injured in an attempt to get the race red-flagged.
Several riders passed their stricken competitor before some eventually stopped to give assistance.
Kalunga was placed on a stretcher and put in the back of an ambulance.
The MotoRacing Association of Rio Grande do Sul State later found out about Kalunga's apparent fake injury and banned the rider from the championship.
This reminds me of soccer players that flop and fake an injury to draw a penalty... but this is far worse!
Great to read that they banned this guy from the championship.

AMA Superbike racers have been known to do that exact same stunt before.
i remember that race. i think his bike was in the track though and actually in a bad spot. i dont think AY cared about making the restart.
that was the same year he dropkicked that backmarker for taking him out

I'm of the opinion that Yates took out Anthony fania. It's the passing riders responsibility to get by safely.
he should move on into Nascar if he's afraid of water.

I race to win, and if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you're no longer a racing driver."

That stunt was not at all funny. That dipsh$t risked the lives of other racers needlessly. He shoulda been punted out of racing and beaten down. Really a wrong mentality after some of the good men who have been lost in this sport. Shoulda been this guy.
I have to give him SOME credit for being way more competative than my morals will allow. I guess he wants to win more than I ever could.

I can't see the video. But I imagine that this is about that brazilian racer who fell in the rain while leading, tried to remount and then rolled in the race track in an attempt to stop the event. Whatta douche.
