AMA Superbike article
Summary -
- Slightly down on HP and up on weight compared to it's competitors
- Fancy chassis tricks may allow it advantage due to the ability to apply more power coming out of corners.
- Reviewer really liked it.

Honda loves to make porkers, they should take some notes from yamaha. Especially on the ST1300 which I'd like to buy.![]()
Would make a GREAT starter-bike!
After all, you wouldn't want one of those 'little' 600s.

Yah... I guess maybe it is porky like the RC51 because it's designed as a superbike platform.
Kawasaki and Yamaha don't seem to want to compete, and the Honda is definitely faster testing at Daytona than the Suzuki... The Ducati is way behind.
It is so fat and slow they got the racebike up to "only" 192mph on the banking.
I would say getting the HRC version would be a better choice for a beginner.

Fast at daytona... just like the 600RR winning at Daytona and then losing the AMA supersport title. The 1000RR will probably be one of the best handling bikes this year like the little 600RR is..but if they trimmed the fat just think how much better it could be.

Says Vale to Colin at the end of the 2002 8 Hours of Suzuka: "Ok Colin, you better go out there and win. Because it is the ONLY way we will NEVER have to come here again!"
Looks.. and the bikes ability to handle squid inputs without losing it.. those are the reasons i got my 600RR.

How much time(miles) on the RR? Curiuos on your opinion so far. Would also like to know what you had previous and how long you have been riding......Hope that I'm not getting too personal, just that I really like the 600RR and just would like to get some more opinions from sources other than the MAGS.Looks.. and the bikes ability to handle squid inputs without losing it.. those are the reasons i got my 600RR.
Sold my F2 a couple years ago for a VTR1000. And while I like a twin for riding the street(and may never go back to a four), I have to admit I might have left a couple of marks on the RR that I was inspecting on the showroom floor!...![]()
I still love the smell of burnt racing fuel in the morning!
