Beaver Run is a very cool track. I have customers in both Kart and Bikes who having nothing but praise for the place.
And compared to NHIS, well there is no comparison to that turd of a track.
Imagine a race track not surrounded by WALLS.

If you're talking about Penguin School, I'd say you're better off with a track day. Penguin basically teaches you the logistics (rules) of racing at NHIS. I wasn't overly impressed with track time or actual track instruction when I took the class. Although, actual race instruction and insight was great...
However, if you do the Penguin School, you get a little 'completion tag' that allows you to do the 'open test sessions', usually held on Thursdays. It's like, $100 and if you do the sessions they have in the mornings, you'll get more track time than you could possibly imagine...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?

Jay,
How long does the completion tag allow you to do the open practice sessions?

Take the school, Get your liecense. Problem solved. You get to practice on Thursdays for $100. On Friday for 70. And if you enter (I think you have to enter) 1 Race for the weekend you get 4 practice sessions and a race for $50-$60 depending on when you reg.

Yep, I concur. Get your license by taking the school. It doesn't ONLY teach you about racing at Loudon. They spend time teaching the basics of roadracing, cornering technique, etiquite on track, passing, and most everything else you need to know to race or just ride, on any track. The school isn't about lots of track time, its about learning what the hell you need to do out there, and being safe while doing it!!! do yourself a favor, take the school, get your license, race and ride safe out there, period.Originally posted by jersey_devil_68
