Ttrying to replace the light swith on the sv650.
the harness runs thru the frame under the airbox behind the radiator.
pain in the ass to get to.
Looks like I have to take off the side fairings to take off the radiator but....
the dam Left side fairing bolt is stuck. The bolt has never been taken off, bike is 3 years old only 800 miles.
I tried using a t-allen wrench and i cant get the bolt to budge. I know i'm weak and out of shape but this is ridicolous.
Any ideas? beside getting a bar to slip on the the T and create more leverage? not much area i can get some PB(seized bolt remover) in there. I'm actually worried I might strp the bolt head or break the T-allen wrench
yes I could access the other side but I still need to put on the frame slider and take off both sides.
I need to replace the switch as its broken and need it fixed to pass an inspection
hmmmm......
Get some allen sockets. You get more leverage. They are pretty snug. Just dont get all superman on it and break it. You should be able to tell breaking from turning. If it seems like you are putting too much pressure on it. Stop.
You suck at life. Why don't you quit?
My dad told me I could be anything I wanted when I grew up. So I became an Asshole.
If you are able to lightly tap on the head of the bolt before you attempt to loosen it that might help as well.

I used my cigar lighter to heat up the bolt without melting the plastic when I had to remove the chin piece from my tuono. Same situation as yours, never been removed since new and after a few thousand miles or rain and other funk, it was stuck on there. Try to find a little torch lighter.
Tuono
good points... thanks.. going to pick up some allen sockets..
then some balls....
hmmmm......
