That's the one that I had seen. He dropped the price a bunch of times. Think there was one in michigan or something on thumpertalk too.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?

"freshly rebuilt motor" should always raise a red flag. One should wonder why it neede that? Who rebuilt it? how long do his motors tend to last?

I know it's sold, but just in case the next one you find is "freshly rebuilt"...

+1 I always worry about *who* rebuilt it, and what their definition of a "rebuild" is.

    Found a New Toy! :)

Well I just picked up my new toy. It is built pretty well by the owner of a dealership. A bit more maintenance intensive than I originally had in mind, but it was a decent deal for a berely used bike, and its has some serious nuts! Im starting to like it more than the 600 and Ive had it for a day. lol

Nice bike! First thing you'll want is a set of handgaurds.

They should call Production Twins what it really is, Shitty McBikefest. Rules for Participation: If your bike runs lower laptimes than a lawnmower, you are not eligibile for Shitty McBikefest. -Darrell

That it is. Its all converted for street except I do need to get a speedo on there. Without one, I judge speed by how much fun I'm having so I'll tend to get in a lot of trouble.

Nice! I've got a 520SX for the dirt. Great bikes. What year is yours?

A few pitfalls with pre-03 (which yours looks to be). #1, the cam bearings of that year we're un-sealed oil-fed bearings. They seemed to wear out quicker than the new sealed type, so you may or may not have to replace them. (90 hours on mine, and they we're due for replacement). The auto-decompression stop on the cam-wheel is also suspect, as it was simply a bolt with a nylock nut on the end that rattles off. The fix is to replace it with a 03 and newer cam gear. When I took mine apart, the nut was solid, but I replaced the wheel anyways. (The new cam wheel has the auto-decomp stop molded into the gear). I've got a Cam-Chain breaker, and a full service manual if you need anything.

Excellent info, Thanks! It is a 2001, so all of the above does apply. So are all of these parts interchangable with the better 03 stuff? When its due I may as well replace it all with the good stuff if thats possible

Sweet! You've got the same ride as me, only with motard stuff. I'm guessing you don't have e-start either? Its no matter, the auto-decomp on the RFS motors is so good, you wont' wear your leg out.

Many of the parts are completely interchangeable. Some parts require you get other parts to fit, but they use the same bearings, wheels, cam chain, etc as everything else. PM me if you need want specific details about stuff. KTMTalk Home Page - The Absolute BEST Resource on the Planet for KTMs is your friend!

Awesome, thanks! I'll def get more info from you when its time to change everything. Might make it a winter project so I wont have to deal with it during the season next year.
