Only about 15 miles but it felt good to get out. Damn frost heaves and sand were quite annoying though. My 9R ran perfectly. Forgot how quick it is.
Got a stainless steel screw kit for the 9R in the mail yesterday. It replaces all the stock black painted (non-critical) nuts and bolts. Eager to get it installed. Mine is a prototype kit because the guy that sells these kits wanted to build a 9R kit and needed a test mule. So, for my small amount of work, I got the kit for free. Gotta like that.
I was going to ride to work today, but it was still chilly (19°) at 7:30 and I have to stay in the office all day so it wasn't worthwhile to ride in commuter traffic, I'm goin to try ride a bit before tomorrow's storm, the question is? will it be rain or snow?
It was 55 in the city today. I warmed up the bike and road around the parking lot today. Don't think I would have hit the roads even if the bike was registered tho. Lots of icky puddles and mess from the melting snow banks. Either way this seems to be the first hint that spring is on the way!
Finally installed my flushmounts and short stalks I've had laying around. They look great, much brighter than I expected.

Hey SWEET_Z, I love your quote!
I saw a couple people riding today at lunch. I was out on my mountain bike again. I had one case where I hit some hidden ice but no big deal, and another where I purposely leaned way over to see how far I could go before sliding, and yep, you still slide pretty easy, there is plenty of sand. It was friggin sweet weather though.
