Anyone care to take a drive at about 3:30- 4PM tomorrow and check out the 2007 line up? This may not be where I buy a new ride, but it's the closest dealer to me with the 3 major brands. If I decide on the R1 I have a local shop I would probably give my business too.
Choices are as follows:
Gixxa 750 in Black/Silver: 2007 Suzuki GSX-R750 - Motorcyclist Magazine
the R1 in Charcoal: 2007 Yamaha YZF-R1 Photo Gallery Detail
Destination tomorrow: MotorSports International. MA Dealer carries New and Used Motorcycles, Dirt bikes, ATVs, Snowmobiles. We are an authorized Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Arctic Cat and Ski-Doo dealer.
Rides: 13 Hyperstada, 09 SFV650, 97 CBR 900RR

I've been meaning to go over there at some point after work one day... I get out at 3 and could be there for 330
I'll be leaving my shop in Westboro @ 3:30 and heading there. The new facility is right up the street on the right. Looks nice!
I have never purchased a bike from Carlton, but I have always liked their service department.
Anybody buy a bike from Anderson Cycles in Framingham??

A friend of mine purchased a 05 R1 from anderson and they were pretty good with their price and service. He went in telling them a price he got from another dealer and they gave him a better price. I think he threw in a few extras also, like a discount on a helmet and jacket.

if you want i can talk to the guys here at south shore motorsports and see if they can give you a deal. I just recently got my job back here so let me know if i can do anything for ya.
2021 Ducati Panigale V2
2020 Honda Grom
Great choices. I saw the R1 at the bike show and it was very clean. 1st gear is tall and hits just over 100mph :0. The only thing bet on the 08 750 having some changes.
You movin on from the RC mike ? If so , I want that ROGUE t-shirt back you traitor...
The RC is staying in the Stable due to the fact I will never get what it's worth to me if I sold it. I would rather hold on to it for the occational rip with the Awesome V-Twin POWER!!!!!

Troy City Garage still has a Green 2006 ZX10R for $8499
Don't know if you like Kawi's, I'm just throwing this out here since I know of the deal. It was worth the travel time for me.

Its the first one listed, right at the top.
I'm only suggesting it because of the price deal.
I got mine for $8719 OTD. Not bad for a literclass superbike.
I hope you end up with something you like.![]()
TL1000R --- For those who like to drive high speed tanks
So did you see anything Mike? I was gonna take a ride up there but I was changing the oil on the KLR and didnt get done till 4.

I sat on a couple of Bikes. The R1 fits me the best....
The GSXR750 has a better seat but the riding position was far better on the R1. I also like that the R1 has a taller saddle hieght, less reach to the controls. Better styling and it's a Yamaha...
Now I still have the K1200R Sport eating away in my head.
What to do , what to do?
The bike purchase may have to wait until I get a new place with a garage!
This will give me time to figure out what I want..
Or I can keep the RC at my Mothers where it is now and put the new ride in the trailer at my place??? I have time on my side what ever I do...

This decition would be easy if the R1 had a V-Twin motor option to choose! I am worried as hell thinking about getting another in-line 4....![]()

The R1 still has a sizeable hole at 7k. I'm not diggin it for street use. I'm going to hold off until they do the whole engine over, not just the top end. I kinda like the idea of a 1098, if it doesn't have too much engine braking. See the Gixxer 1k dynographs though? The thing's got some serious sack.
A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. - John Stuart Mill

Based on those numbers it would be the zuki for sure, even though that most likely would have been my first choice anyway. The orange/black is SICK

This isn't a penis contest, you don't need the biggest numbers. I know I don't care weather I have 150 or 160 horspower on the street. Is there anyone around here who would have that effect their riding or make use of the power?
It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
I realize it's not a penis contest, and personally I would choose the 750 above the 1000 simply because there is no need for that much power on the street, but if I had to choose one of the new liter bikes, it would be the Gixxer.
