They are technically illegal anywhere by federal law. I've never had a problem.
We've never rejected for aftermarket exhaust as long as the baffles were in. And it didn't make my ears bleed.
Wow, yeah, the local shop here didn't even care.. except he said.. this is going to be much more fun than your can-o-tuna you had last season.. lol..
The yoshi exhaust on my f4 actually sounds quieter than my stock katana exhaust for some reason....
I haven't heard of any new laws regarding motorcycle exhaust... same decibel laws as always... sounds like you turn signals are illegal in this state too... but again most "inspection" stations don't inspect much...
I just go to a cruiser place. They are lucky to even find the brake lever.
I also have a 600RR and 2 Brothers pipe the guy never said anything about the pipe but made me take off a license plate frame that had lights on it. It was basically a home made version of the Tripage one that came out great, but it had to go for the sticker.
Ove the winter I built my own fender eliminator with blinkers build in to satisfy the state requirment of having your blinkers 8 inchs apart, but I kept my intergrated tail light in. I also add some gixxer mirrors and some flush mounts to replace the 1980"s side markers the kid put on the bike with drywall screws through the side of the upper cowlf'in moron!
