    Interesting Fact

    You cannot start an RF900 with the intake and exhaust cams reversed. You can:

    Send your wife to the gas station to get more gas
    Send your wife back to the store for carburator cleaner
    Swap out dead battery with battery from running motorcycle
    Dump raw fuel down the intake manifolds
    Replace spark plugs


    Among other things, but the the best bet is to install the cams correctly and it should start right up. Don't ask me how I know.

    hahaha...that sucks..we've all been there.. not the same thing but a couple weeks ago we finished my brothers bike...poor kid..everything has gone wrong with it since he got it...all sorted out..new paint and powder coating etc...running mint...he takes it for the maiden voyage and calls me 20mins later... fucking thing just broke down on rt 99....got there...no gas

    Just incase you were wondering, vf500 interceptors like their cams put back in the right spots too.
    I just checked the valves in my rf900 and i'm very glad i dont need a valve job and the cams can stay put.
