I went there in 1997, flew to London rented a VFR and took the ferry across. 10 dyas of watching the races then doing a "ton" on the mountain course. Nights drinking beer in Douglas, a rock'n time for sure.
It kinda makes the MotoGP guys look like whimps.
heard an announcer say something along those lines the other day in regards to the fact that since the Isle of Man TT is no longer a Championship Race that the MotoGP guys no longer race it because it is viewed as "too dangerous."
I can understand that it's dangerous, but damn it's one of the oldest TT races and it's a damn good one at that. I love watching the Isle of Man TT.
So honestly, I've been trying to put a "figure" on going to run the Manx TT (Amateur Isle of Mann TT).... including flights, lodging, renting a bike, crew, food, gas, etc.
How would one arrive at this number? I was guesstimating $25k or so soup to nuts.
