I've only been riding for 4 years & 40,000 miles, but still haven't ever lofted a wheel. Nor do I plan to, ever. Totally pointless elevated risk, and I like my fork seals.

Caution: Pavement on bridges are different, front wheel locks up easly.

It's actually not a bad skill to have if you're about to run into something (rock, tree branch, etc) that's gonna stop you hard and throw you over the front.

Riding over with just the back and bouncing a little is usually less painful. Even if you fall off.
