Helmet / health care fund for Mark

Many of you know that forum member Mark was critically injured while riding his motorcycle on Wednesday.

He spent some time in the ICU, and is now awaiting surgery. His femur is broken in 2 places, with additional fractures near his hip. He has a long rehab road ahead, but there is no doubt that he will get on the bike again one day! He will need a new helmet to do so!

I would love to see us rally together to get the guy a new helmet and perhaps cover someone of the medical expenses he has coming his way.

Mark and I go back quite a few years, so please rest assured that all money sent will go towards Mark's fund. We will also be putting out a donation jar at our local Burlington Bike Night event.

Randy (ranette) has graciously offered up The Gables Inn in Stowe as a place we could organize some sort of breakfast/ride/fundraiser for Mark. If somebody that is more creative than I can come up with a good way to utilize that, please feel free to send Randy a message. I'll keep trying to see if I can come up with something good, but I want as many people involved in helping him out as possible.

Wow, just hearing about this! Mark is a great guy, sorry to hear about his accident...as always, it could have been worse, thank God he's going to be able get back in the saddle again. Best wishes, and I just sent over a donation. On another note, what size helmet does he wear? I have an extra shark rsr2 in large that I would consider donating for really cheap to the fund...it's hardly used, basically new. It's sharks top of the line helmet, I know he had an RSI at one point.
