Kham:
Installed a HyperPro last Thursday-
![]()
Put over 700 miles on with it this weekend. Took less than 20 minutes to install. Ran most crap roads @ 2 clicks, the really torn up stuff (the shit that can rip the bars out of your hands) @ 3. Worked well and was not too intrusive. Quality of product & packaging seems very good.

i like this type better than the Scott type. i'll be thinking about it. for now i'll just avoid those torn up roads.i'v done wheelies over 100 and havnt had problem with headshake.

Hyperpro has completelt redesigned their product line and worked out all the old leaking issues. The new ones are very reliable.
I never rode with a damper before, but I just put a GPR on my bike last week and LOVE it. I had heard both sides of the debate on them. Everyone saying "if you know how to ride and set your bike up you will never get head shake" I never got headshake actually, though it is a possibilty even for pro riders if you aren't fully focused (ie...on a long ride when your looking at other stuff)...but my concern was more for potholes and such in corners causing bumpsteer, riding in scarrified section of highway at speed, etc..
anyhow..within 3 mins of riding I knew I loved it. It made the bike feel much more stable and connected. I feel like turn-in was much more crisp and smooth as well on countersteer...probably because it stiffins the interface between the front wheel and frame/rider. Anyhow, I'm really happy I bought one.
I got it from indysuperbikes.com they had great prices on all brands...

if you go flying in that type of road condition, the headshakes won't get you in trouble but bike may wear down quick with all that bouncing around.Originally posted by davew

my concern with the damper is it sacrifice the turn in. im having a hard time as is when the rear wheel gets all square from too much highway riding.
