PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) - One man died late Wednesday night after he lost control of his motorcycle on northbound I-95 in Providence.
State Police confirm for Eyewitness News that a Barrington man was killed after losing control of his motorcycle near Exit 18 late Wednesday night.
The victim has been identified as 33-year-old Anthony Larisa.
Police say he and two other bikers were speeding when Larisa's Honda motorcycle crashed into the jersey barrier in the low-speed lane of the Thurbers Avenue curve.
Larisa and the motorcycle were thrown over the barrier, landing in the brush below.
Emergency crews pronounced Larisa dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
The accident is drawing comparisons to one over the weekend in Pawtucket. A Central Falls man was killed after his motorcycle hit a jersey barrier on 95 north. That driver was also not wearing a helmet.

What a sad story! RIP
RIP
very sad... I just don't get the whole no helmet thing? I like my brains!
+1. Many loved ones will Google a rider's name and the thread will come up.
it was just requested to not post them, but not part of the forum rules: Not a fan of random crash threads
Then make a rule and not have Jim the hall monitor whine about it.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
Thanks guys, but out of respect for this downed rider and their family lets keep this on topic and debate the thread type elsewhere if needed.
More sad news...
RIP
the Thurbers Ave curve gets another one.
Yeah, it was generally decided that it IS pretty lame to post up random M/C crashes. I'll almost never doubt the sincerity of such threads, nor question the hardship friends & families of victims must deal with. But to endlessly start threads about each & every m/c crash we hear about is just too much. Kinda reminds me of those non-riding people that just HAFTA tell you about EVERY motorcycle incident they hear of...
Maybe we should make an official announcement about it. But then again, who really pays attention to that? And Kreamy - no worries. I believe you had good intentions...
Back on-topic though: thoughts to friends & family. It's always sad to hear of these things...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
I would like to sext with you... I think...
well i like to know all the who/what went down where. it doesn't always made big headline. just one post who/what/where/when. that's it. no sentiment post.
"fuckit!"

damn that sucks. thats turn can be fun and here are times it scares the hell out of me. RIP to the rider.
but if there is going to be a ruling on not making these threads anymore, should at least make one that just lists the name of the fallen with some info on it. who knows if one person reads it and how/where it happened, hopefully they can learn from it.
