One of those gladius? things suzuki is replacing the SV650 with.
Looks like someone went and a made Hyper-motard type thing with it. after riding the Hyper and knowing the 650 twin motor, I would ride one if it were not priced to the moon

Overall it looks nice. Not to impressed with the color though.

It looks like the Fischer Price edition Hyper Motard...

I like it. the color can easily be changed. They did a nice job with the conversion.

Its cool I think...something about the name Gladius sounds cheap
i think it looks good for a naked bike (aside from the color) but it really doesn't say hypermotard to me. the rear fairing is too sport bike and the forks are raked a little too far forward which makes the fork protectors look weird. ducati did it right and if suzuki could change just a couple of things on it and manage to keep the price point below 8 or 9k then this thing will be a runaway hit in the Foux-motard world.
I think that bike is 80% there. I wish Suzuki would update the DR-Z with some more modern bits.
its just the angle. thats how the SV exhaust is. i dont think the gladius is gonna "replace" the SV though
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...

Very, very nice indeed.
I highly doubt the Gladious would replace the SVs. If anything, maybe a badge swap or something... like, SVG650... Or SG650V... instead of "Gaydious" (gay means glad... look it up).
But suzuki doesn't really let much die unless it's a complete flop. There's more a chance of the Gladius going 5 years and being dropped completely then there are of the SVs being discontinued in the next decade.
I dunno, I wish they just did these cosmetic "upgrades" to the SV650 non-fairing AS the Gladius, and have the SV650SF stand alone with the SV1000SF unchanged.
I dunno.. just MHO.
OH.. that, and what's with the color schemes? Powder Blue and White or Black on Black... WTF?!?! Why not I dunno, Red on Silver.. or Orange on Black, or I dunno... Maybe they're trying to denounce the fact that it looks like a Monster and a Duke made a baby by using totally odd-ball colors.

Whatever the paint scheme is, it's definitely a sponsor for some race team.....maybe WSBK? I'm certain I've seen that color and logo on some racing machine.
