I want to buy a 81 Honda CB750 in NH. The guy has no title, but can give a notarized bill of sale. Is that good enough to register the bike in MA, or apply for a title?
Thanks all!
I bought my zx from a guy in NH and the registry wanted a noterized bill of sale. Then I was issued a MA title. Good luck
Ok cool. Anyone else have any feedback?
lol, check ur source bro'

1.) bill of sale
2.) previous valid street registration (if it's 15 years old or older)
and wtf does a notarized BoS do, to prove that he actually owned it and didn't steal it?
I hope this bike is free or sub $300

Hey i know what to do.For vehicles 15 years and older just if you cant in Mass, register the motocycle in Vermont. All you need is the bill of sale. You have that so get her done,it works i registered my 1990 import in Vermont,Rutland DMV.I live in new york and now have a title for new york,sweet.Patrick#668

YOu will need a BOS and a old or current reg in the owners name. A Notorized BOS wont get you a thing. MA Sucks like that.
Like people have said Mass wants a bill of sale and a registration. The registration doesn't have to be an active one, it just needs to be for the vehicle/motorcycle and have the same name as the person selling it to you on the Bill of Sale.
If the person you are buying it from lives in NH they should be able to register it without much issue in NH and you can register it in Mass easily. Mass will even accept a NH temporary registration.
Thanks everyone!
