This is going to be sort of painful... especially for NESR, but I'm going to give it a go.
Jim: Good on ya man, seriously. I've been on rides where people got ditched and when we realize nobody wants to go back (of course I always do, and try to get some company). I've also been the one who got left behind (for reasons a lot more stupid than a mechanical, but still... ever try picking up an 87 ZX750 by yourself, when it's leaning downhill? To ditch a girl, alone, at night, in southie on a ride is absolute bullshit. Props to Jim for going back, and I probably don't want to know who the ones that figured it was perfectly acceptable to leave her there were...
Jim, I hope this brief moment of seriousness and me showing respect for you in a public forum does not interfere with our reguarly scheduled ballbreaking.:
I agree, that’s pretty shitty... I would have called them out too.
I mean when MattyM crashed Matt and I followed him all the way from Western Mass to Bolton to make sure he would be ok up to Tewksbury. We didn't have to but we did because that is the right thing to do!
You could have at least waited for the tow truck to get there. South Station isn't the best part of Boston to be stranded in.
Whomever was out front needs a kick in the teeth. Whomever was in front of her needs to learn how to use mirrors.
Sure! I'm game! Wait a minute....um, yeah....
Wow! Should we start a Kromz fan club? Matching t-shirts? What would they say?
About the riders that ditched... I was very surprised. 2 of the 3 of them had my cell #, and when asked after the fact said they stopped and waited for 5 minutes a ways up, didn't see me, then kept going! Its not that hard to call someone, seriously.

Duct tape is like "The Force". It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
You never, ever leave your wing-men/wing-wimmin. Leaders and middlers are supposed to keep count. We always did. If ya hadda leave a bike behind, or a rider behind with the stranded one until someone in a cage or whatever could get things right, you do that.
Ya never leave a single bike stranded alone on the side of the road broken off from a group. The fact it was wimminfolk is an issue for another day.
Good save, Deebs. That calls fer a lobstah!

Ok, Ill admit it. I was one that didnt wait long. I was back at her place waiting for her to get back so we could get freaky, when it took longer than I expected, I left, went home and played with myself. I hope you can forgive me.
That is lame. To not even bother calling when they have your number. Glad you are ok and +1 to jim for going back and helping you out.
Dick bag move all around. Go back and look. It doesn't take that long.
Doug and Lauren, I'm thinking Monday cause I have off and wanted to get some stuff done on my bike.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
When I lead/attend a ride (and I know Steve is the same which is why he's one of the few guys I really enjoy riding with) I'm ALWAYS looking back in my mirror counting headlights. If ANYONE drops back I slow down, or sit long at stop signs and make sure I have my whole group.
When MattyM went down my first priority was making sure he was alright, and then that he and his bike made it home without problem. For anyone to leave another rider on the side of the road is just rediculous. I would really like to know who they are so I don't attend a ride with them.
i believe no one gets left behind... i just started riding 2 months ago... and breaking down in general is not fun... esp with no one around... but thankfullly i was with a buddy from college who cam back and found me sitting off the highspeed lane.. and vic from nesr helped... I have seen too much shit as a volunteer ff and mrt with motorcycles and it is a shame to think no one came back to look for u
It's like when you lose your dog...you don't just sit there on the porch...you get off your ass AND FIND THAT FUCKIN DOG!!
