I organized a ride to Newport, R.I. yesterday and it was a pretty sweet turnout. Got people from my city (Lo-Riderz - the name stands for Lowell Riders) and some Boston people and such to go on the cruise and I must say for a day's worth of riding it was pretty bomb and relaxing even by Sunday's standards.
Here are some pictures from the ride/beach/dinner. And a short video of us departing before the day. It was filmed on my Go-Pro Hero HD and yes that is a t-shirt, i just didnt gear up that day - sue me.
Not me - a fellow friend/rider wearing one of our shirts
Me - rocking some flower shorts FTW
The views were great - well not of my friend but you get the idea
HERE IS THE GO-PRO VIDEO;

The ride was bomb again and it was a good end to a good day of riding!
I watched the video and... that's a lot of straight interstate.
Nice -- looks like you all had a great time
What kind of camera/rig did you have attached to your helmet?
Great quality on the video! Looks like a nice day at the beach too!!!
For some its the journey, and others the destination!
I'm a journey kind of guy myself.
(...kinda wish you opted to set a better example for the kids who joined you regarding the gear though...
...but thats just me!!!)

ahh i know! all my older friends are pretty much wiser than us younger kids - they all geared up regardless. ahh man. some of them are still running the EGO trip. but i already crashed so i know what can happen.
im both - journey and destination! gonna make a White Mountains ride for next weekend, hopefully some NESR people can join?
looks like you had fun, I used to love visiting Newport on the bike. If you ever go with a smaller group, at the end of Bellevue there's a cul de sac that only allows scooter/bicycle parking. I used to park there, lie out on no mans beach, then hike the cliff walk from there. good times![]()
