mine isnt on until the engine is running

if it stalls, it turns off while you hit the starter button

Did Suzuki just forget to do this stock on the TL or do all Suzukis do this?

Hondas do this automatically as far as I can tell. I can't remember whether my SV shut the headlight off but I think it did.
