Motorcycles serve a different purpose in the third world...
Strangest sight I ever saw was a guy "walking" his dog on a motorcycle. The animal couldn't quite keep up so it dragged occasionally. It had picked up some blowing trash and essentially had a plastic bag wrapped around it's head, but the guy wasn't stopping.
The rules in this country seem stifling after seeing life without them.
Lisa and I once got a ride out of an airport on a motorcycle taxi. The pilot, two passengers and luggage on a suzuki 175. It was the wildest ride of my career. The bike was in a near constant tank slapper and I was sliding off the back fender with no helmet on! We had the stupidest grins on our faces when we got off that bike.
It's easy to forget why motorcycles are so much fun here when you need a liter class bike just to be cool.
The child is not wearing one. Pisses me off to see the parents wearing one but no protection for their own kid.
