Perhaps the karma gods will smile on me a bit after my random good deed of the day.
On the drive home today I saw a motorcycle cruise to a stop on the other side of the highway. After internally debating for 5 seconds I pulled the Ducati van off the next exit, spun it around, and shot back down the highway. Found the guy pushing his Harley in the breakdown lane. Pulled over, opened the back door of the van (where I had a ramp, tie-downs, and 848 stuffed) and said "LOAD HER UP DUDE".
Had to fully unload the 848 as his Harley was sorta large and had high-ass bars installed. After some wresting, sweating, and swearing we got both bike loaded into the back and down the road to the next gas station. Yea, just had run out of gas about 2 miles from the gas station he was heading for.
Sorta cool Harley too. Nice custom paint and whatnot. Rider was about my age and also owned a Buell Cyclone and R6. He couldn't believe someone actually stopped to help him out but fuck it, I didn't have anywhere to rush to (was on way home) and we're all riders right.
After the last few shit weeks at work, felt really nice to do something decent for someone.
Moral of story: Take care of our own and make sure the tank is full!

Build bridges man... We're all brothers, man! (wipes tear) You know, It's... it's... it's just like "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson, you know?!?... I mean, without the chimps, Neverland carneys, horrific plastic surgery and pederastery and whatnot... 8 year olds, dude.
Seriously, though... Nicely done. This whole Harley vs Sportbike stuff is shite.

Good on you for doing that! I'm sure the guy was even more shocked that his Harley was picked up by a Ducati van. God that would have made a great picture to start an internet flame war![]()
Sleeping with the enemy so it would seem! j/k though that's good on ya, way to be!

Good job Alex.
I did my good deed for the motorcycling world too...only in the process of doing a good deed, I think I hurt an ego
I was driving along and saw this older guy with his bike laying in the grass trying to pick it up with his helmet on and realized he must have dropped it in the soft soil when trying to get it from the winter storage in the shed to the front yard.
So....I stopped and picked up the bike for him and moved it to the driveway. The guy must have been approaching 70, his son was not home and the gas was leaking because he had been trying for a long time and he was getting nervous. Poor guy....
hehehehe, Jane helped a 70 year old dude get it up![]()

good deeds!?!?!?!?!?!?
What the hell is this New England Sappy Riders
Wait nevermind!
I once lost total power on my bike and pushed it 11 miles to my home. Not a single person stopped and offered assistance. I was passed by countless motorcycles too and it was like I was invisible. The last mile was up hill and it sucked pretty bad.
I lost ground on my voltage regulator and drained my battery.
Oh man! I remember you telling us that story Erik!
