Glad you got a chance to ride one. I have only ever heard complaints about a 14's handling from people who have never actually ridden one. Of course they're not ideal track bikes, but we're talking about the street here.
ZOMG no! I certainly wasn't trying to give the impression that these bikes are in any way suitable for a new rider. Horrible, horrible first bike.
HEY!: I represent that remark!!
I tried one out this weekend and my lower legs are too long. I couldn't hook under the tank with my leg. Now the Shiver on the other handI fit on it perfect!!!!
I have found that inseam and lower leg length is the issue with fitting on sportbikes, not so much hieght and wieght. None of them will be under powered!!
I am 6'5" 240 with 36" inseam and the 929 works great, but I am coming to the realization that I am old and have a bad back and that I'm too crouched over. I got to ride a ZX12 and FZ1 this weekend and was much more physically comfortable hanging off them than the 929, but this is just me and my abused back. Also rode the new concourse zx14 - Very comfortable sans the bags for aggressive riding.
Come to think of it, I had a lotta f'n fun this weekend. Sadly I was even comfortable on an ex500, but I think it is a bit small for my size - "the whole Leg humping a moped thing"
