I rode more than 10 miles today without my shoulder starting to yell at me. Not gonna lie, I liked it.

Good on ya man
It's a great bike. What's not to like.
Nice to relax and just cruise a little.
Congratulations.
I need to take something like that for a test run...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?

I remember climbing off my Bandit 1200 onto my dad's FLHS (called Electraglide 'Sport', very closely related to the Road King, IIRC). The steering geometry and ergonomics threw me for a loop.
The older I get, the more I understand. I'm not there yet, but I understand.
As I've said recently, my current barometer for how good a bike is is how solid the brake lever feels. I visited Oxx recently and took a buzz through the showroom squeezing levers. 'Glide and 'King levers are pretty damn firm. All braided lines from the looks of it.

Yes they are, carrying fluid to brembo brakes

Picked up a Victory Cross Roads not too long ago myself. Already added a passenger backrest and a touring seat. Currently debating on a replacement windshield (stock one causes massive buffeting), rider backrest, and highway pegs. #cruiserproblems
Already have about 1100 miles on it which is probably more than all my riding last year if I exclude the trip to VT I did (which I will be repeating this year so excluding it from the count is legit). Wicked comfy, very relaxed ride. Surprisingly agile for what it is but saying that makes me think about the chick in the MSF "welcome to the ride" video leaning on her full dresser and saying "But it's still sporty" and I have to laugh at both her and myself.

With regards to the windshield, I noticed the same. The stock windscreen was causing massive buffeting on my helmet. I wanted something shorter anyway so I chopped it and it's a great improvement thus far. It is also very surprising how much you can throw these things around.
Wait, you bought it, or test rode it?

Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
They make a very minimalistic 4" screen for the top. Basically just a little visor. When I rode my buddies I didn't notice much buffeting but at 5'4" my head doesn't stick up very high.
My dad's V-star 650 also gave me crazy helmet buffeting with the windscreen.
Here in CT though, it seems most people just solve that problem by not wearing a helmet if you're on a cruiser.

Peer pressure is a bitch apparently.

So we're jumping to conclusions now as to why I went this route? I've stated my reasons in other threads however "peer pressure" has not been one of them. I've taken more shit from sportbike friends for "jumping ship" than I have pressure from Harley friends. If peer pressure was a deciding factor I would have just kept the TL and cruised around in agony.

"The 4 board is an upshift marker, not a brake marker"
It is. This is probably the biggest reason I don't ride a cruiser or bagger. I know in a week I'd be "rockin' the jeans" to work. Then the jacket'd go. Next I'd be wearing a dumbass little beanie with a DOT sticker I printed on my ink-jet.. which would get stowed as soon as I crossed the NH border.
I lack self control in that respect. So I do my best to surround myself with people who gear up and make me feel really dumb if I don't.
