Anyone riding in Florida after October 1st should be aware of the new speeding penalties. It will be very interesting to see if it has an effect on the number of infractions, or as Randy O has stated "no matter how stiff the penalties, there will be violators, if penalties become too stiff, you will soon learn what the word militant means". These new penalties are certainly stiff, including loss of vehicle, five to ten years in prison and ten year loss of license.

I piss excellence!
This is why I don't ride anything with more than 50ccs anymore. That, coupled with the fact that people down here don't know what blinkers, speed limits, red lights or stop signs are for. I feel safer in a tank.

Let's just hope MA or NH does not adopt these rules.
I hope Vermont does. (well sorta)
You would not believe the mayhem I have seen because of speeding. Or too fast for road conditions, or driver in experience coupled with speeding...
Excessive? Yes but where do you draw the line? At least they included cars.
60 in a 35?
100 in a 65? (110, 120, 130?)
Ripping through a school zone at 65?
I am still in the "Do the crime, Do the time corner"
You speed or do something silly and get caught... fight the ticket so you can save money to pay for the ticket or get it reduced but be prepared to pay the whole thing.
