Rear turn signals shall be red or amber mounted on each side of the vertical center line at the same height and having a minimum horizontal separation distance (measured from center of lamps) of nine inches. All turn signal lamps shall be mounted at a height from the road surface of not less than 15 inches nor more than 83 inches. Turn signal lamps shall flash at a rate of 60 to 120 flashes per minute.

I just put in an integrated tail light (includes amber rear turn signals)...is this going to cause me grief when I go for the inspection (and yes, I know i'm already a week late )

It will at stations that are picky. Technically, they're not legal, as they don't meet the 9" separation rule.

Is there a large contingent of modifiers who would mount their turn signals 7+ feet "from the road surface"???

Got my bike inspected today at MOMS in Foxboro. I passed but only because the dude's computer locked up and he wanted me out of there. Apparently I can't have integrated blinkers in the tail light as they need to be 9 inches apart. Think I am going to stick to the Harley shop in Franklin from now on...I don't think they even looked at my bike the first time I went there for an inspection
