I'd also help with the wood. Maybe throw a few down in the process.

If we do this, it's gonna hafta be this weekend. I don't forsee any problem doing this Sunday (the 26th). But keep in mind we'll have an hour less of daylight that day, so it'd probably be a good idea to get started early...
I'm including the original post so that everyone understands what to bring with them. Again, this is all IF I can do it this weekend. I'll know later today...
...Location will be up at my place. Cost will be $20 a person, and that'll cover lunch, antifreeze - if needed - and disposal fees for dumping oil and/or coolant. We're gonna limit this to the first 10 people that speak up...
We'll cover oil & filter changes, cleaning and oiling air filters, bleeding hydraulics, checking plugs, replacing antifreeze if needed, how to keep your battery stored and charged, among other things. We'll also cover how to prep your bike's appearance and finish for it's long winter nap...
All you need to bring is $20, your choice of oil & filter, the proper DOT rated brake fluid for your bike, your owners or repair manual (preferably a repair manual, but the owners manual will work too), plugs if you prefer to change 'em, and any other materials you think you may need. I'll pick up a coupla gallons of aluminum safe antifreeze and DISTILLED water as those items may be a bit much for peeps to carry on the bikes...
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
Again, I need to know who'll DEFINITELY show AND what you'll need done. I'll get the antifreeze and distilled water and I need to know how many waste oil containers I'll need, so I NEED to know...

Waste oil is covered bro. I have a system, and in my town I can drop off at the recycle hut 24/7.
Sat or Sun, I will be there.

I'm not worried about getting ridda it (Randy burns it in his furnace). Just how many containers I'll need to empty before everyone gets there. I have like, 3 containers but they're all full...Originally posted by legalspeed

Okay. Is Sunday gonna be the best day for everyone? And now that I think of it: Before I go out and get antifreeze and distilled water, does anyone really need their cooling systems flushed?Originally posted by Stoneman

Sunday is best for me.....
I would like to flush the coolant on mine

"hey Randy, do a wheelie!!"
Yes I will def be there on Sun. What time are you planning on starting? Are we stacking before or after class? I'm taking my truck so I won't be in a hurry to get outta there when 3:30 comes around...happy to stay after, or show up early to do some work.
Yeah it would beto flush the cooling system. One question though, my bike will be stored in a heated basement, and I plan on putting water-wetter (have it already, but haven't put it in yet) in for next season. Can I do it now before the winter since the bike won't be exposed to very cold temps?
I can also bring a gallon milk jug for my oil if you need me too.
How 'bout those Patriots?!

Don't worry about the firewood. If I get a hand doing that, great. If not, I'll live...Yes I will def be there on Sun. What time are you planning on starting? Are we stacking before or after class? If you don't plan on riding it in the cold weather, Water Wetter should be fine so long as you'll DEFINITELY be storing it in a heated area...Yeah it would beto flush the cooling system. Okay, peeps. Remember to bring a few things:
Your prefered oil
Your prefered oil filter (it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a filter wrench too. Yes, I have a couple and we should be all set either way. But these are handy little items to have on hand)
Your owners and/or repair manual
Plugs, if ya wanna do 'em. Although this usually isn't necessary
The proper rated DOT brake fluid if you wanna bleed/replace your hydraulics

Also keep in mind that this should be for the folks that aren't used to servicing their own bikes. And we're not entirely doing this FOR YOU. We're doing this to SHOW YOU how to do this so in the future, you won't hafta take it to a stealership for simple maintainence. We're not gonna leave you high & dry. But expect to be SHOWN how to do this stuff...
In other words, we'll be doing as much coaching with this as we will be getting our hands dirty...![]()

Can we start on ongoing list to see who wants what done? Either use the 'quote' feature and trim the unnecessary stuff from it OR open another window and do the 'copy / paste' thing. Among getting an idea of what we'll be doing, I'd also like to get an idea of how many radiators we're flushing so that I get enough anitfreeze and distilled water. If we're doing your radiator, include the capacity too...
I'd really like to keep the 'to do' list together. Please try not to scramble it up...![]()

Break service
I myself am... strange and unusual.
Oil change
Brake service
Air filter check
Cooling system (I have water wetter)
Check/ adjust clutch cable
Check/ adjust contol cable
Check suspension
Check forks
Adjust drive chain
Check chassis/ swingarm fittings
How to properly clean various mechanical parts
Mostly, I want to be able to IDENTIFY anything that is out of adjustment. If we have time to cover it, sweet, if not , not a prob. Should I pick up some brake-cleaner? I'll need some anyway, no need to deplete your supply.![]()
I'll also bring my rear-stand, probably no need for the front. Or should I bring that as well?
