Glad to hear everybody made it home allright. I was a little worried that 250 might have been swept up and blown to kansas...Gotta agree with you Joe, the last 10 minutes of the ride I really started to feel the wet and the cold, I was glad to get home. Part of it is the textile suit though, that thing sops up the water like a sponge.

You'll have to come back up sometime so we can take a look at those carburetors. I hear there's a hurricane coming, good time for a ride right Joe?

Ahh, so cleaning out the air cleaner didn't help things much? Guess that's not too surprising. So what was the problem again? You'll be buzzing along at midrange and roll off the throttle and the bike will die? Because that would sound like maybe a bent carb needle, I've heard of that happening before and it could stop the needle from sliding back so your needle jet stays open and you run rich as the revs settle and flood the engine. But I dunno, seems like if you had a bent needle you should get hesitation on acceleration too since the needle would get stuck going the other way as well.

I'm sure it could be a hundred other things too, I'm always quick to blame carburetors because I've had so many problems with them on my bike
