Today I was riding my bike home after a long hot day at work and I was clipping along at a decent pace. I go around a corner and there is not one but 2 of my neighbors dogs in the road. There was no clear path to avoid them and I tried to stop. I panicked and locked up the front and released and reapplied only to lock it up again. I released again and then swerved and somehow avoided them. Then about 100 feet up the road I see my neighbors car. She says oh yea my son was cleaning the cages and he let them out. I said well they are up the road, don't ask me how I know. Makes me think harder about the consequences of riding on the road and how severe the repercussions of my actions can be both on myself and others. Now i can see how so many track riders only ride track and no street. I just can't quite get myself to get away from the street, but I know that I need to learn a little bit more self control. Just kinda wish there was somewhere close to tear it up.![]()
