Finally found the exact bike I've been looking for. Replaced the GS500F with a 2005 GSX-R 750 (20th Anniversary Edition ooh lala).
As much as I loved my fun-as-hell-but-generally-weak-in-the-knees-noodley-suspension-sheep-in-wolfs-clothing GS500F, I've been craving a sporty bike with more than 35HP and have been waffling between a 600 and a 1000 GSX-R. Naturally the 750 was a perfect compromise.
Anyway, I'm IN LOVE. The FJ might not get much seat time the next few weeks.Good opportunity to do those carbs though finally.
Strangely, it rains every time I buy a new motorcycle. I've decided it's a good omen, so I was a little worried it wasn't going to rain today. As luck would have it, I got drenched on my virgin ride home. Must mean good things!
Now the million dollar question: how to for more speed?! She has a Yoshi and some serious bark, don't know much else has been done yet. Starting with some general maintenance and valves.

What's the difference between a bolt and a screw?
First you screw, then you bolt.
Shoe horn a Busa motor in er! Mods list complete.....

How to for more speed? Suspension. Do your suspension. Then invest in track time.

Thanks guys!
Well, this bike rips. Can't even get close to its potential on the street, but I did get some seat time in the wet last night. And.... holy @#^&$#!
It's like a tuning fork for my inner squid; harmonizing with some deep hidden lust for chaos. Luckily my inner dad is a force to be reckoned with. So far I haven't done anything stupid. So far.
Right on. The suspension is already like night & day compared to my other bikes. Amazing.
Any secret wizardry or tips for tuning it in, or just adjust/ride/repeat for you guys?
After meditating on Palmer for a while, I decided not to rush the track time on an old/unsatisfactory bike. Might get in a last minute day this year, but mainly I want to be ready next spring to do it right. I'm super excited to get to know this bike. Obviously it has a ton of power already, but I'm extremely curious about its potential at the same time.
My goals now are to get comfortable on a very different bike, check over everything mechanically and educate myself on all this sweet technology, then determine changes/tweaks/modifications that might be in line with my riding.
I found a dyno about 15 minutes from my house and very interested in getting up there to form a baseline before any work done on her.
Any suggested upgrades/improvements/electronics for this bike please shoot!

Inner squid.
Avoid anything motard like ever.
Start by dialing in sag. I assume preload is adjustable. Play with clickers next. IMO your biggest goal is to keep both ends damped reasonably close together. But really, spring rate/preload is the place to start. Aim to get it to about 30% of the travel as a baseline.
