I'm trying to figure out if there is enough interest in shared bike storage or garaging for $50/mo. in Brighton in a 10'x30' climate controlled storage unit.
So here's the deal.
For those of you who don't already know me. Duncanmoto rents a large storage space in Brighton where we keep our product stock. The space is expensive and now that we're opening a store in Watertown, we can't afford to keep both... Unless. We had 10 or so bikes willing to pay $50/mo. for great storage. You either keep your bike registered and insured, or you sign a waiver against any theft or damage. Of course there is a sprinkler system and a 24 hour camera security system as well. Nothing has ever been stolen from this 1,500 unit facility and the Red Sox uses this very same facility for their equipement. We will ask that any bike going in has a low fuel light on as there is a "no gas" requirement at the facility.
Please discuss and let me know if you would be interested in a spot year round, just for a few winter months or on a month by month basis.
Assuming storage only? ie: no maintenance on the bike(s)?
What about electrical for a trickle charger?
Count me in! PM me the address please. Wondering if its within walking distance

We had to let the 12'x30' garage go as of Sept. 1st. :-(
It was a $600/mo. expense we could not justify without more interest in storage.
That storage unit had a waiting list and is now re-rented for $690/mo. :-o
They do have other space available.
They have 5'x10' units or 10'x15' units if anyone is interested. It's a great place called "Simply Storage" at 245 North Beacon. Jenn is in charge and she's very cool.
I liked it particularly because it is walking distance from my house. Now I have to go to my shop in a cage to get my bike.
On the flip side we may still be able to offer some other (limited to 2-3 bikes) indoor storage this winter in Watertown. More in October on this.
This thread is done. We let that unit go, but look for our thread on Watertown storage.
