    DIY TIMING BELT PULLEY COVERS

    was planning on picking up some SppedyMoto billet pulley covers for the duc and then i had an idea ..... why the hell not just cut up the OE ones and make my own!!!! here are some pics. im thinking of getting the dipped in carbon fiber coating or maybe red annodizing.. saved myself $345 and LOVE the way they look....

    Looks sharp, I love the look but I'm just leary of running open belts for alot of street use.

    dropped my duc off for the first service yesterday. talked to the service tech and my salesman, for whom ive known a long time. he actually races a SC1000s just like mine. they both said that there is no worries with open belts like i did mine and likened it to the belts on a car. the bearings are sealed and inless someone throws a stick and catches the belts ther isnt anything negative that would happen riding on the street.. if i were riding on the dunes with it..... thats another story
