Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
I did 500+ a few times last season on my CBR600RR.
I did 350+ on my D675 yesterday, riding 9 and 100 in southern VT and route 2 in western MA. Then I got back to eastern MA and did like 50 more 2 up.....way way way way more taxing on this bike than the RR.

I think I saw you yesterday... I was stretching at Hogback and a graphite d675 passed by with 2 ducs. You?

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
I may be bringing a bike home from Rochester, NY this weekend...395 miles...my lower back is not looking forward to it.

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
Here's the route I did last August with the New England Rally. Not sure how far we made it in 24 hours, but we rode that route in 34 hours. Each check point was about an hour long stop, it rained for the first few checkpoints. It was raining hard too. We didn't sleep at all during the 34 hour trip either.

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
300-400 is an average ride for me but have done 500+ on my old 97 gsxr 600 and on my current bike a 636.

I was with a black St3 and a red Kawasaki Z1000 that was riding 2 up.
I had a blue leather and blue helmet on a graphite d675, it was probably me :beerbang:
You must have had the blue d675...I saw it and gave a wave, probably not the safest thing I've ever done considering I was pretty committed to the turn.

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
700 Miles in 24 hours on my R6. Went from Nashua to Burlington on Friday night after work, got up the next morning, rode 300 miles on the back roads of VT (from Burlington down to the southern part of the state and back). Then road from Burlington home. Arrived home almost exactly 24 hours after I left. Maybe that counts as two days since the first two hundred miles was Friday night and followed by a couple hours of sleep before riding 500 miles on Saturday?

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
965 miles - Gardner, MA to New Richmond, QC (Gaspe Peninsula) via coastal Maine & New Brunswick...that did however include about 4 hours on nap down time. That was on a ST2.

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
Around 400 miles in one day. Did it 2 years ago with an old coworker.

Did we look fast?? haha I was on the black ST3.
I've done a 600+ day on trips coming back from the dragon on a Moto Guzzi V11(not quite a sport bike) and coming back from Nova Scotia on a Monster S4R(again not a real sport bike). A few 500+ day's on the D675 last season... those hurt. :mecry:

Your right, it was black, I saw a blue one earlier that day on route 2...first time I've ever seen 2 in the same day.

Yea I've only seen 2 so far this year. I dont know about you but after a 450 mile weekend, i can definitely feel it. I did about 280 yesterday and I just wanted it to be over the last 50, straight shot on route 2 isnt very fun though...

West of 91, route 2 is phenominal, once you get east of 91 we saw legitmately 4 cops just sitting on the side of the road taking radar, and then it gets flat and straight all the way to boston.

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
I did Savanna GA to Mendon MA in one night on my R6 when i found out my dad was sick. Prob aveagae well over 100 mph including gas stops, 2 year expired plate, bright red marlborough paint job... Not the smartest ride but hey....

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
600 in 13 hours to the Gaspe, 'way back in '92 on the 907ie.

I haven't done that stretch of rt 2 yet, thats next on my list. I ended up taking 100 down to 112 and then just hoping on rt 2 to get home. Kind of wished I rode 9 back to brattleboro and got on 119. Oh well

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
410miles with a gas stop on the SVS.. thats about 4-5 hours of riding. you think its bad until you compare it to endurance racing at lemans or something.. 12 hours of racing.. now thats extreme

Re: Miles on a SPORT bike.
So are we talking about hitting twisties or slabbing it? Anyone can do 600+ if you're avg speed is 85-90 on the interstate.
