o ok yeah im a SPC too, combat boards are the shit only because I hate wearing my class As...I wont be going to the board till January though should be interesting. I made my SPC in 18 months coming in as a PVT so I need to get the time and grade before I will get reccomended oh well more time to sham haha.
Hey Neuthunder, I graduated May 06. Best of luck with the medical training.
DaSpence, going to the board as soon as you get back? Ha, that's some bad timing. Good luck though. So far all of our combat boards have been a walk in and walk out variety. One SGT, the only question he got was "How much do you bench?"

welcome home Spencehope you are making up for the time you were away.
I've been here in Balad for over a month and have been quite busy working on the roadways. Overall everything is going well and no significant acts YET.

Doc,
Things are going well around here, its not a bad place to be. Balad is the most accomodating base however we will be working at smaller FOBs and Combat Outposts in the next couple months. Weve actually just had the lowest number of IED explosions/month in the last 3 years. Our battalion has some excellent route clearance teams which do a heck of a job. The occasional tracer rounds fly overhead and kids throw rocks at the windows but other than that, so far so good. I have a very supportive network back home which keeps me fully stocked with goodies and magazines, but thanks for asking.
Tim
