Picture kinda sucks because of the weird light but can ya tell what i done to my bike?
I gots to change the erl and filter, then mount (huh huh i said mount) the new Pilot Powers and i'm ready for spring And the VIR trackday

A side note with the pilot powers, i opened the box and couldn't beleive the size of the rear? Do they run bigger than other brands? I measured the width of the stock 218 dunslop on the bike now and the new power and it measures 5/8" wider than the stocker? Not that i mind the phat look because i'm all about the show but i'm a little worried about chain clearance, clearance!!!

I shoulda took a before and after picture I can't belive i don't have a picture of my R1's butt on file anywheres

This picture is the closest i have and if you look closely, you'll see what i did. It'll probably take a 04 R1 owner to pick up on it but some with a good eye should be able to see This picture is before i made any changes

It sounds awesome
I didn't just gut them, i bought a kit that came with a new core and some packing to quiet it down some. It took about an hour each, saved me about $500 for slip-ons and i still keep the awesome looks of the stockers

where did you buy the kit?

I bought the kit on Ebay but it was from a member on the R1-Forum. LRD i think was the members name. It was $75 for the core inserts, the FMF fibreglass packing and the rivets.. ohh and good instructions

Nope, no 05 for me
Only planned purchase for me this year is a 06 YFZ 450 as soon as they come out, hopefully in some cool special edition colors

Nope, i haven't been to Sturbridge yet, have they been running races there? The ice got kinda thing around here..
Todd and I made a little track on a small pond, it was fun while it lasted but the ice isn't safe anymore
