Yes, the 796 looks great and has a nice balance of 1100 features and reasonable price...now if the used 696 weren't so much cheaper...am thinking of getting a second fun bike, either one of these Monsters or a Stripple. Hard to find used stripples, but there are a few 696's...my FZ6 will remain my work horse and my 2-up riding bike.

Streetfighters are nice, but for the price, uhhhh. $14k for an S? No thanks.

There's a reason they call me Tully 2 Valve. I love the air cooled Ducs!

Everything I've read about the streetfighter says the ergos are horrendous. As I get faster, the valve adjustments seem like a decent tradeoff for a bike I can make work a little better for me.

I like the new monsters, and I test rode one. It does everything better than the old monster. A LOT better. Don't be lured to an old gen M for cheap money. I put 50K miles on one. One ride on the new one was convincing enough. I didn't buy it, only because I wanted something different.
