My daughter got to sit on this thing at the Big E...I must admit, it's pretty cool looking in person. It's certainly not a bike, you can't lean, etc. but I'd rather have this for touring than something like a Goldwing, it looks nicer. Just doesn't have all the comfort accessories like a real touring bike tho. It's pretty "plain". You can test ride one in Flamingo Motorsports, Palmer MA. Ask for John.

I took a test ride on one of those. It was like riding a jetski on land. Fun little thing.![]()
Saw a bunch of them at laconia this year. They certainly are cool looking, but the fact that you can't lean leaves me wanting more. Why isn't the MP3 getting any hype? Its not as cool looking as the spyder, you can lean on it.

I'm still bitter about not getting the Spyder franchise...

I test drove one last year & hated it for the reason Bread said. Steering instead of countersteering. It is a weird sensation expecting to lean into a turn but instead being thrown off to the outside. I've ridden quads & its the same idea, just odd on the street. By the end of the ride me and my buddy were trying to hang off...helped but i'm sure looked like a couple of asshats in the process.
that MP3 is kinda cool. do you countersteer it? how big is the motor? how fast is it? can you romp on the rear brake and back it in?

I heart Can Am Spyders...If it wasn't the equivalent to another car payment, I would have one by now. I hear what people who already ride are saying about it - but for me (someone without riding experience yet) it seems like a cool option. Saw one at the Larz Anderson museum yesterday and a guy was comparing it to a T Rex!

Ah my bad - I wasnt aware they'd rebranded it for here. Sold overseas as the other name.
As for SVracers question regarding handling - from what I've heard it countersteers as normal. Not too sure about the rest. Power wise, 500cc single cylinder, tops out in the 90mph range or so, with 40hp or so through the CVT transmission.
Heavy bugger though! 538lb wet.
Marks Motorsports in Enfield, CT carry them, too.

They are cool but not for me.
I was in my cage last week and there was this "thing" approaching me....
could barely see a headlight......yup it was a can-am.
They need to work on their lights since they sit lower than most people's eye
levels.
The Can AM is a dang snowmachine for the street.
Yuck!
